A Study of the Decreass in Effectiveness of Cubé When Exposed to Weathering

Abstract
8 replications of 8 cube combinations, applied in the field and tested biologically in the laboratory upon small larvae of the imported cabbage worm, Pieris rapae, showed a uniform decrease in mortality during 5 days'' exposure, with the sprays giving a greater total mortality than did the dusts, although the kind of spreader or diluent made no appreciable difference. Precipitation was found second to duration of exposure in causing decreases in the effectiveness of the treatments, with a logarithmic relationship between the amt. of rainfall and the decrease in effectiveness of cube applications.
