Abstract
Sulf-and methemoglobinemia, in significant degrees, were ruled out in 8 patients showing cyanosis after sulfanilamide therapy. The theoretical CO capacities, calculated from the blood Fe, and the measured CO capacities check closely. Sulfanilamide is shown to have no effect upon the CO uptake of Hb- sulfHb and Hb- metHb mixtures. Keywords
