Abstract
Melanoma growth stimulatory activity (Mgsa) is a polypeptide mitogen and a possible autocrine growth factor for melanoma and other tumor cells. A restriction fragment length variant of Mgsa was followed in interspecific backcross mice. Mgsa was localized between Afp and Gus on mouse chromosome 5, distal to known loci affecting skin pigmentation. Keywords
