Pulmonary Varicosity

Abstract
A pulmonary varicosity or varix usually presents as a solitary homogeneous uncalcified nodule. On routine roentgen studies the lesion cannot be differentiated with certainty from any other pulmonary nodule. Tomographic studies demonstrate the relationship between the varix and its pulmonary vein and designate the nature of opacification of the lesion only during the venous phase. Of the 3 cases presented, 2 were proved by contrast examination and 1 at operation.
