Abstract
Many organophosphorus compounds, including the organophosphate insecticides, may cause polyneuropathy of delayed onset. An exception is parathion, which has been considered the prototype of nonneurotoxic cholinesterase inhibitors. Nevertheless, we describe a patient with delayed polyneuropathy after suicidal ingestion of parathion. Keywords
