Abstract
Hypophysectomy, with or without adrenalectomy, abolishes the anticortisol effects (upon catabolism inflammation, thy-molysis and splenolysis) of desoxycorticosterone acetate, seen in the adrenalectomized rat. Apparently, the anticortisol actions of mineralo-corticoids are indirect, and depend upon some hypophyseal conditioning factor.Keywords
