Abstract
Thermophilic bacterial leaching of low-grade manganese oxide ore was, demonstrated at 50°C and 70°C. A static culture system was used with cane molasses as the nutrient source. By employing batch cultures, with an acid wash to redissolve adsorbed Mn2+ at completion of each batch, the bacterial reduction could be driven to completion. Keywords
