Abstract
Delays in buffers influence the performance of transfer lines of unreliable machines. We show that this influence can be approximately represented in an ‘equivalent line’ with the same machine characteristics but reduced buffer capacities. For this equivalent line the performance can be then evaluated using any existing method. Keywords
