Abstract
To the Editor: An allergic reaction against constitutents of normal seminal plasma is a rare event.1 , 2 We have recently seen a patient who had such a reaction. She is a 25-year-old woman with familial atopic disease. Her maternal grandfather, her mother, one sister and the patient suffer from allergic asthma. Three years ago, after sexual intercourse, she noticed severe urticaria, periorbital swelling and abdominal cramps. These symptoms recurred after each intercourse and increased in intensity; at one occasion she had a circulatory collapse.
