Abstract
The equation of the resonating group method is divided into two parts in order to investigate the effects of the antisymmetrization in the composite particle scattering. The first part is essentially the same as the orthogonality condition model which describes the scattering by the direct potential on condition that the relative wave function is orthogonal to the forbidden states due to the Pauli exclusion principle. The second part is expanded in the number of nucleon exchanged through the antisymmetrization and is expected to be approximated only by a few terms which come from the exchange of relatively small number of nucleons. This treatment is an extension of the orthogonality condition model and is an approximation method to solve the resonating group equation which takes in the antisymmetrization exactly, for the case of the scattering of the heavy composite particles. Keywords
