Abstract
Chantry's gedanken experiment leads to the conclusion that the relaxation distance of electrons emitted from a source can be eliminated if the electrons have the same velocity distribution as the electrons arriving at an absorbing anode. In this paper Monte Carlo results are reported that confirm this conclusion. Keywords
