Abstract
Roccus americanus (Gmelin) has become part of the Lake Ontario–St. Lawrence River fauna, originating from populations in Upper New York State. The time required for the species to spread through the lower Great Lakes is discussed and summarized. A review of the morphological distinctions of related species is included. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
