Abstract
Leukaphereses were performed on the intermittent flow cell separator (Haemonetics Model 30) using citrated dextran 150 as a macromolecular agent to improve separation of granulocytes. A mean of 1.77 times 1010 granulocytes and 7.73 times 1011 platelets were obtained without steroid stimulation and 2.65 times 1010 granulocytes and 8.91 times 1011 platelets were obtained with steroid stimulation of donors. There were no significant adverse reactions to dextran. Keywords
