Abstract
(Z)-3-Hexene-1, 6-diol, a new synthon for the synthesis of (Z)-olefinic pheromones, was prepared from 1, 4-cyclohexadiene. This synthon was used in the synthesis of (Z, Z)-3, 13-octadecadienyl acetate, whose high stereochemical purity at C–3 was essential in attracting male Synanthedon tenuis Butler. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
