Abstract
As the number of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) cases increases, AIDS-related personnel questions will arise more frequently in the public and private sector workforce. This article looks at the medical facts and the legal aspects of the AIDS controversy for employers, AIDS victims, and co-workers of AIDS sufferers. Several personnel management concerns are covered such as making pre-employment inquiries, testing applicants for the AIDS virus, terminating those afflicted with AIDS, dealing with co-worker concerns, and the impact of AIDS on employee medical benefits. Keywords
