Abstract
The authors calculate the effective equations of motion of shear waves in a gel, consisting of a cross-linked polymer network in a Newtonian fluid. It combines the models used to calculate the shear modulus of rubbers and the viscosity of polymer solutions. The calculation is done only for small-amplitude waves, and includes an allowance for chain entanglements. Keywords
