Effect of Night Air Temperature on Grain Yield of Corn, Wheat, and Soybeans1

Abstract
In an unreplicated test, high air temperatures at night reduced corn (Zea mays L.) yield about 40%, wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yield almost 50%, and soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) yield about 10% as compared with yields of crops growing at cool night temperatures.
