Abstract
1,2-Dithiocyanatoethane forms polynuclear complexes with cobalt(II) halides, of general formula [CoX2·L](X = Cl, Br, or I), which are decomposed completely by unidentate ligands. Rhodium(III) and iridium(III) form binuclear halogen-bridged complexes of general formula [MX3·L](M = Rh or Ir; X = Cl, Br, or I). The halogen-bridges are split by unidentate ligands. Infrared spectra are recorded, and structures of the complexes discussed. Keywords
