Abstract
A growth assay was conducted to determine the crude protein requirement of weanling pigs fed a semisynthetic diet including synthetic amino acids. The protein requirement was found to be no greater than 12%, since pigs fed 12 and 14% protein performed equally well. Dietary crude protein levels of 16 and 18% depressed both rate of gain and efficiency of feed utilization. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
