Abstract
The use of propranolol, a new sympathetic [beta]-blocking agent, in a case of pheochromocytoma is described. The drug is advocated in this condition, along with an a-blocking agent, to prevent the occurrence of cardiac arrhythmia, due either to excess catechol production or to drug-induced sensi?tivity of the 0 -receptors. The interrelationship of this drug with other durgs used in pheochromocytoma is discussed briefly. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
