Abstract
Irradiation of solid dielectrics with high‐energy electrons produces a region of negative space charge which may persist for a long time. The capacity of various dielectrics for charge storage and the characteristics of thermal and photoelectric charge release are discussed. Charge storage capacity is highest in electret forming materials and in materials with a high density of deep ``traps.''This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
