Locomotor reaction decrement in normal and brain-damaged rhesus monkeys.

Abstract
Normal monkeys, placed in an initially novel situation allowing locomotor response show initially high levels of activity which decay in a negatively accelerated manner. Animals with temporal lobe injuries behave in a similar manner. Monkeys with bilateral ablation of the prefrontal regions, however, show a higher rate of locomotion with a slower rate of decay and with less variability.
