Abstract
A polyradiculoneuritis and polymyositis caused by a toxoplasma‐like protozoan is described in two seven‐week‐old labrador pups. Examination of a centrifuged sample of cerebrospinal fluid was a useful diagnostic aid in one case and the successful treatment of the other pup is described. This case is discussed in the light of the recently described protozoan Neospora caninum which can also affect the neuromuscular system of neonatal pups. Keywords
