Abstract
DNA and RNA molecules have been isolated from synthetic combinatorial libraries that are able to bind a variety of small organic molecules and catalyze different chemical reactions. The properties of these molecules as well as the techniques for their identification are discussed with respect to potential applications in organic synthesis. Keywords
