Abstract
Discussion of the correlated invasion of Puerto Rico by a tobacco-attacking strain of the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae. and by the citrus-attacking spirea aphid, Aphis spiraecola. Although the prevailing n.-e. trade winds blow toward N. America, opposite winds occur above 10,000 ft. (wind-borne aphids have been collected at 13,000 ft.), and some winds from the U. S. do occasionally reach Puerto Rico. However, no conclusions can be drawn as to the origin of these aphids. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
