Abstract
Sulcus glottidis means a notch in the medial edge of the vocal fold. Its histological basis is a loss of vocal fold substance caused by laryngitis. The site of defect is the connective tissue layer between vocal muscle and epithelium. The elastic fibres found there are damaged. This malformation occurs during childhood quite frequently. Heredity cannot be proven. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
