Field induced transitions in kagome antiferromagnet
Abstract
Order by disorder effect in magnetic field due to thermal fluctuations is studied for a classical Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the kagome lattice. On the basis of analytical treatment we predict a unique H-T phase diagrams for this strongly frustrated magnet: states with a chiral and a uniaxial triatic order parameters respectively at low and high magnetic fields and an incompressible collinear spin-liquid state at a one-third of the saturation field. We present Monte Carlo data which confirm the presence of the collinear spin-liquid state and corresponding magnetization plateau. Keywords
