Abstract
A theoretical calculation of the anomalous magnetic moments of the nucleons is presented, based on Bincer's sidewise dispersion relations. Each of the relevant amplitudes is consistently derived in the approximation of keeping only intermediate states. The result is obtained in terms of the elastic and phase shifts. The isoscalar and isovector anomalous magnetic moments are calculated for three alternative models of the phase shifts involved.
