Abstract
IN acute leukemia, as the following report illustrates, more than one bone-marrow aspiration may be necessary for diagnosis.A 3 1/2-year-old boy (S.L.C.H. 90921) was seen by a physician in April, 1962, with fever, pharyngitis, and pain in the right hip. Bone marrow on aspiration of both iliac crests was found to be replaced with lymphoblasts (Table 1). On admission the liver was palpable 4 cm below the right costal margin.
