Computer support for single-case evaluation of practice

Abstract
Research suggests that social workers are not engaging in practice evaluation, despite graduate training in single-case methodology. For practitioners who collect client data, finding the time to analyze the information appears to be the problem. The Computer-Assisted Practice Evaluation (CAPE) program can assist practitioners in the visual and statistical analysis of client data. A potential application of computers in practice is illustrated, and the implications for social work education are discussed.
