Abstract
We have analyzed the nature and contents of a major protein, P36, in the nucleoid of the Bacillus subtilis wild type and an isogenic mutant devoid of flagella. It appears that deoxyribonucleic acid-P36 complex is flagellin present as membrane-associated flagella. Keywords
