Abstract
Angiographic study was made in 6 patients with Wilms' tumor, 5 children and 1 adult. In all cases tumor vessels could be demonstrated—moderately vascular in 3, hypovascular in 2, and markedly vascular in 1. Tumor stain was demonstrated in only 1 patient, and then in only a few small scattered areas. The tumor vessels in these 6 patients had a "creeping vine" or "spaghetti" appearance. There were avascular areas of varying size within the tumor mass in all 6 cases. The type of abnormal vascularity might suggest the diagnosis of Wilms' tumor although it is not proposed to be pathognomonic of this type of neoplasm. Keywords
