Abstract
Electromagnetic computation is used to account for mutual coupling effects in a smart antenna system and improve the performance of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. Experimental results of the Bartlett and multiple signal classification (MUSIC) DOA algorithms for mobile users transmitting at 1.8 GHz are given. Keywords
