Abstract
Although a few cases of renal carcinoma extending into the vena cava and right atrium have been reported,1 2 3 to our knowledge no reported cases of pheochromocytoma have behaved in a similar fashion. In a case of gross tumor extension into the vena cava reported by Young and his associates,4 a local tumor thrombus in the adrenal vein and vena cava was removed with a pheochromocytoma of the right adrenal gland. In the following case we successfully removed a pheochromocytoma extending from the left adrenal gland into the vena cava and right atrium in stages, employing extracorporeal circulation.Report of a . . .This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
