Abstract
A formula is derived for the flux of light at a point in a general cosmological model, taking account of the obscuration of distant galaxies by nearby ones. The results are applied to several particular models, including a perpetually oscillating one. Of those models which are plausible on other grounds, none shows a conflict with the observed light-flux.Keywords
