Abstract
On the basis of data from Soviet research ships six cases of the radioactive fission product distribution in the lower layer of the air in different meridional zones of the globe are considered. An attempt is made to reveal some circulation conditions of air propagation from the middle latitudes into the tropics and the other hemisphere (in the surface layer). A problem on the influence of polar intrusions on the evolution of intertropical convergence zone is touched upon. DOI: 10.1111/j.2153-3490.1966.tb00251.xKeywords
