Charge Transfer in a Multiperipheral Picture

Abstract
The transfer of charge from one c.m. hemisphere to the other is discussed in terms of schematic multiperipheral models. The resultant expectations for experimental quantities contrast markedly with predictions based on the fragmentation picture. Particularly sensitive tests between the rival viewpoints are indicated.Keywords
