Abstract
As a precise and model-independent test of SU(2) chiral breaking (), the analog of the Coleman-Glashow formula for pseudoscalar mesons is derived, and it is found to be satisfied within 1%. The presence of the term in the Hamiltonian density is therefore strongly supported by the experimental data.
