Abstract
In this note we give an algorithm for solving the equation:[EQUATION]using MACSYMA. In equation (1) the polynomials with integer coefficients {p i (x)} and the numbers N, K, L and the degree of d(x) are assumed to be known (with K≠O). We look for the polynomial d(x), with integer coefficients, such that the left hand side of (1) is K times a perfect L-th power of some polynomial r(x). We do not know r(x), only that it must have integer coefficients.Keywords
