Abstract
The R parameter, which measures the magnitude of the Rytov dip observed in light scattering spectra, is calculated using kinetic theory for a dense, neat fluid of hard ellipsoids (rotors). The kinetic theory truncates the BBGKY hierarchy at the Enskog level and ignores chattering events when determining two body dynamics. As such, this theory represents an extension of our earlier work on the collective and single particle orientational correlation times of rotor‐like molecules. Keywords
