Abstract
This paper examined the "various significant correlations found by Norman and Leiding" (see J. consult. Psychol, 1956, 20, 79-82), in their article on the relationship between measures of individual and mass empathy. The present author questions these correlations, considering them to be "at least in part spurious." On this basis he questions the findings reported by these authors.
