Abstract
The quadrupole moments of the isomeric (πν) configurations in are measured by the level-mixing-spectroscopy method. They are very small, but show a large relative increase as more neutrons are removed from the closed N=126 shell. In addition, the temperature-dependent electric-field gradient and relaxation time of BiTl are measured. The multipolarity mixing of the 675 keV in is corrected.
