Observations on the Occurrence of the Rat-Lungworm, Angiostrongylus cantonensis in New Caledonia and Fiji

Abstract
Ten wild rats and 100 land slugs were secured from each of the islands of New Caledonia and Fiji. Adult lungworms were found among the rats from New Caledonia but none from those of Fiji. Infective lungworm larvae morphologically identical with those of A. cantonensis were recovered from the slugs from both islands.
