Variations on van der Waals' equation of state for high densities

Abstract
The equation of state PV = - a/V + RT(1 - y)-4 is shown to be considerably better at high densities than van der Waals' equation PV = - a/V + RT(1 - 4y)-1 and to be equal in accuracy to two other slightly more complicated equations for PV.Keywords
