Abstract
A patient suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus developed the chronic discoid form of the disease, while the symptoms and signs of the systemic disease gradually subsided. A 2nd patient suspected to be suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus also developed the chronic form of the disease. The question of whether the chronic discoid lesions appeared in systemic lupus erythematosus or whether the systemic form actually changed to the chronic discoid one is discussed. Keywords
