Abstract
Intensive research and development effort has been invested in the ferroelectrics sector even since the discovery of the piezoelectric effect in polycrystalline BaTiO3. Perovskite compounds are conventionally derived from a mixture of metallic oxides, which should be as homogeneous as possible, by way of a solid-state reaction at high temperatures. To improve the raw material's properties, which significantly influence the formation of the ceramic structure and consequently also the electrical properties, an increasing number of new preparation processes are being used. Keywords
