Abstract
The pressure dependence of the critical magnetic field in single crystals of indium has been calculated from measurements of length changes at the transition. We find where t= T/Tc and p ∥ and p ⊥ are uniaxial pressures parallel and perpendicular to the tetragonal axis. The anisotropy disappears when the effect of equal length changes rather than equal pressures in different directions is considered. Keywords
