Abstract
Out of the frying pan : Hot spots can greatly increase the sensitivity of surface‐enhanced Raman scattering, but they remain poorly understood. A new strategy based on plasma etching (see picture) can be used to isolate and exclusively probe the SERS‐active molecules adsorbed in the hot‐spot region between two silver nanocubes.Keywords
