Abstract
GdB6 and GdB4 have Neel temperatures (IN) much lower than those expected from a comparison with the Tb and Dy compounds. Magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and esr measurements reveal anomalies in the vicinity of the expected TN. It is suggested that a significant amount of short range order sets in between here and the observed TN.Keywords
