Abstract
The nonequilibrium quasiparticle energy distribution function of optically irradiated superconductors is obtained from an analysis of the current-voltage curve of superconducting-insulator-superconductor tunnel junctions. The result is in excellent agreement with the numerical solution of the appropriate kinetic equations. Keywords
